MET Fashion Photo Show Presents "Artist Spotlight" featuring Devyn Shaughnessy & Pamela Quinzi

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another Artist Spotlight edition of the Fashion Photo Show blog. Devyn Shaughnessy & Pamela Quinzi have been designing clothes and shows for several years now. The two first met at a fashion show in 2010 and have remained friends ever since. Pamela's unique shoes along with Devyn's bright and bold colors make for a great fashion tandem. The two appeared at the DL Lounge tonight to keep the great trend of fashion shows going. They did not disappoint as the models walking the runway provided the DL with a lot of energy and excitement.

I had the pleasure of speaking to Devyn Shaughnessy before the show and learning a little about the clothing line that she presented tonight.

ME: Good evening Devyn and thank you for taking the time to briefly talk about your clothing line before the start of tonight's show.
DEVYN: Your welcome

ME: What's the name of your clothing line?
DEVIN: "Devyn Shaughnessy"

ME: Where can members of the audience find your clothing line?
DEVYN: Anyone wishing to see my clothing line can visit my website. I can be found at "www.ustrendy.com/devyn-marie-shaughnessy"

ME: When you click onto her website, she does not apologize for her bold and brite colors, she embraces them with a passion. She wants the world to see her passion for bright colors and it works as you see.

ME: Who is your clothing line designed for?
DEVYN: My clothes are designed for the "party girl" in mind. My clothes are inspired for the imagination, for the imaginative.

ME: I also want to mention that not only did Pamela Quinzi appear in tonight's show with her good friend, she also brought along her own show collection, "Kilame". The two styles worked very well together.

Ladies and gentlemen thanks again for taking time out of your busy schedules to once again follow the MET Fashion Photo Show blog. Next time we are going to feature a new segment called the MET Fashion Photo Show "Artist Special Edition." I had the pleasure of interviewing Fashion Designer/Model/Photographer/Humanitarian Adrian Alicea. Find out about who Adrian Alicea is and why he loves doing what he does.

The MET Fashion Photo Show Artist Spotlight is Proud to Present; "Alina LAL Couture at Fashion Week"

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another edition of the MET Fashion Photo Show blog. It is day 5 of NYC Fashion Week and we are live at the Moroccan Lounge located at 130 West 3rd Street in Manhattan. Tonight's featured designer is Alina "LAL Couture". If her name sounds familiar it is because she is one of the hardest working designers in the city. Like many designers this week, Alina is introducing her latest line for the fall. This time around Alina was inspired by the retro look of the 20's and 30's. If her latest work looks familiar, look no farther than HBO's hit series "Boardwalk Empire."
As usual, Alina nailed it with her latest vision. "I wanted to bring back the retro look of the 20's and 30's. It was a wonderful time for fashion. I wanted to duplicate this era by using lace and featuring gold, black, white and beige. My clothing line can be seen on Facebook. I want to thank everyone for coming out to my show. I really enjoyed working on this project and I owe a special thanks to the make up artists and models that participated in tonight's show. The makeup was done by two makeup artists; Fiona Wills and Emilia Tavarez. The models that participated in the show are professional dancers who are currently appearing on Broadway.

In addition, there was one makeup artist and tonight's hair stylist who were unable to be photographed this evening but their time and talents were definitely appreciated as well, Ms Valeria Kole and Ms. Athena Vargas.
Tonight's model line up featured the multi-talented Arleigh Rothenberg, Anika Tifft, Zoe Monique Cross, Caccie Paul, Korine Salimi, Ekaterina Timofeeva, Marianna Randazzo, and Kat Katona.

MET Fashion Photo Show Artist Spotlight Featuring "Phil Harris"

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, as Fashion Week 2013 continues, the next stop on the list is the Holy Apostles Ballroom in Chelsea. Tonight, fashion designer Phil Harris is presenting his latest creations for Fashion Week. Phil Harris is no stranger to Fashion Week or the runway. His big and bold creations have brought a different type of look to the fashion runway for a long time. If you are not familiar with Phil's designs, he uses large shapes with blends of silver and gold. He combines these items and creates some of the most beautiful jewelry pieces in fashion. One thing about his collection is that when he puts it on display, he doesn't care if you are tall or short, thin or voluptuous, he is only concerned about making sure that his pieces look good on you. Most of the time this works. I haven't seen a piece of jewelry from his collection that appeared "out of place"; or inappropriate on the model wearing it yet.
When you look at the models wearing his line in tonights show, look at the models and their body types. Look at his jewelry on them and see how it does exactly what it's supposed to. Each piece enhances each models outfit, creates a look of confidence and it attracts the viewers eye without taking too much attention away from the person wearing it.

Phil Harris will continue to display his work at Fashion Week. On Friday Sept 6th, Phil Harris will be one of the featured designers at the Azy Banks Fashion Show in Spanish Harlem. Keep your eyes and ears open as Phil Harris continues to venture around the city. His latest show featuring smooth jazz from the likes of John Coltrane and Duke Ellington combine for a show that must not be missed!

MET Fashion Photo Show Artist Spotlight Presents "Hillary Flowers & Ziggy Angel"

Good evening ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another edition of the MET fashion Photo Show blog. This is Fashion Week . This is one of the busiest times in the fashion industry. Models, designers, photographers, fashionistas and curious onlookers are all waiting for the first glimpses of the Spring 2014 collections. I will try to bring you as many glimpses of fashion week as possible while giving you personal insight. There have been several "pre-shows" held around the city as well. Last night at the Sky Room, Fashion Tuesdays were once again hosted by one of New York's very talented designers, Hillary Flowers. Everyone at the Sky Room was introduced as the "Ziggy Angel Collection".
The Ziggy Angel Collection features short and sexy mini-dresses that range in a variety of different colors. One of the things that makes this collection unique is the assortment of colorful bow-ties which are worn to compliment the dresses. She also has a series of baseball caps that can be worn with each outfit.

In addition, the audience was treated to some of next season's hottest swimwear. If you like bright, bold colors, then look no further. The use of bold and bright colors look great on each model as she presented down the runway. Each models tall stature enhanced each item.

This collection offers a bit of variety as tee shirts, caps and jeans were also featured in the show. Our designers also created a look for men. The tank top and baseball cap for men presented an edgy look that complimented the ladies in the show.

Hillary; “I just want to thank everyone because we had a lot of fun. Everyone was excited. Everyone wanted to be part of the event. We are very excited to be working together. I want to give a special thanks to all of the models and photographers who participated in tonight’s show!”

This was just a quick and brief preview of the things that are coming this week. (NYC Fashion Week officially begins on Sept 5th and ends on Sept 12th) A couple of other sponsors and contributors for tonight's show were Eric Vega and Eric Vega Events, and the Manhattan Wine Group. The models in tonight's show came from “In Motion Magazine”.

I want to thank you for taking the time out to read this edition of the Fashion Photo Show blog.
