MET Fashion Photography Proudly Presents Nailah Lymus and "Amirah Creations"

Good afternoon again ladies and gentlemen and thank you for joining me in another edition of the MET Fashion Photo Show blog. My blog focuses on real New Yorker’s wearing real New York fashions. In addition to interviewing New Yorker’s wearing the hottest fashions, I am going to also interview clothing & jewelry designers, and fashion models as well. In today’s edition of the blog I am going to focus on Nailah Lymus and Amirah Creations.

At this time I would like to introduce you to Nailah Lymus.

ME: Good evening Nailah and thank you for allowing me to interview you for the latest edition of the Fashion Photo Show blog.
NAILAH: Your welcome, thanks for taking the time to find out about my clothing line.

ME: Please tell the audience a little bit about Amirah Creations and how Amirah Creations got started.
NAILAH: Amirah is an Arabic name. I am a Muslim designer. Amirah means "Inner Beauty." I wanted to start a clothing line that focuses on inner and outer beauty.

ME: Can you tell the audience what or who got you started?
NAILAH: I started with my clothing line in high school. In my senior year I put together my clothing line. It was well received so I just continued. I have never received training or any other former experience.

ME: If someone is interested in learning more about Amirah Creations how can they learn more?
NAILAH: If anyone would like to see more of my clothing line they can visit my website at www.amirahcreations.carbonmade.com and www.theunderwrapsagency.com

ME: Please use 3 words that would best describe your product line
1) Comfortable
2) Versatile
3) Feminine

ME: What makes your products unique?
NAILAH: My products are unique because of the different fabrics that I use. I love using tapestry and very bold prints. I made it my business to provide positive Muslim influences into my business. I have to be conscience of both my religion, and fashion. My designs are "avant garde" all year long. I am going to be in Fashion Week this fall.

ME: What is the expected availability date of your product(s)? Is there a website that our audience can visit to see more of your product line?
NAILAH: My clothing line is available now through special order. Post Fashion Week in September, my clothing line will be online.

ME: You’re participating in today’s show. What does it mean to you?
NAILAH: Participating in today's fashion show means a lot to me. I did a show last season during Fashion Week. I believe that we have to stay relevant. Being Muslim means a lot to me as does the fashion world. I have to put just as much time into my business as I do my religion.

ME: Is there anything else that you want the audience to know about your product line?
NAILAH:I want everyone to know that my product line has something for everyone. It doesn't matter if you're a petite size, large size or even pregnant, there is something in my line for everyone. My line also focuses on comfort. Whenever I design something one of the things that I consider is "comfort". I design for the woman who is "on the move". My clothing line is very versatile. You should be fashionable at all stages of your life.

ME: This is the part of the blog where I ask my guest in their opinion what are the must have items for the season. What are the 3 must have items for the summer.
TODAY’S GUEST:: The must have items for the new season are:
1) One bold color shoe
2) Headpieces, not a hat, that make you look feminine
3) A structured blazer that is properly fit

Ladies and gentlemen this concludes this edition of the blog. I want to once again that Nailah for participating in this edition. Look out for Nailah in upcoming fashion shows around the city, and also look out for her show at Fashion Week this fall.
